THE LOWEST POINT IN MY HEALTH, BACK THEN...

I have always had an obsessive personality.  Anything I get interested in, I go way above and beyond what any sane person would do.  The same applies when it comes to my health.  

At my all-time lowest health, I was over the top obsessed about every detail of my well-being.  I listened to every experts podcast, read every blog or book, and tried nearly every diet under the sun.  

None of it made me better.  I thought eventually it would because that's what "the experts" told me, so I kept listening, reading, and eating how they instructed.

My sleep was terrible.  I started losing my hair.  My workouts were stagnant, even though I was working my butt off.  Nothing felt good and I was stressed about every little thing in my life.

I went paleo and low carb, and when that didn't help, I went even lower carb and paleo'd even harder.  Then I got worse.

I fasted for the bulk of the day every day. I eventually gave up eating altogether for sometimes days at a time.  Then I got worse again.

I spent years bumbling around following "the experts" all the while feeling worse and becoming more unhealthy until I realized something wasn't right. 

Something had to change. 

... AND NOW

I’ve spent the last 17 years working in the health and wellness field.  I have worked on organic farms, in boutique training studios, and online doing coaching remotely. I know the ins and outs of the health and fitness industry better than most.

But I’ve also learned that this industry is a MINEFIELD of misinformation that is holding people back from feeling healthy and living a full and satisfying life. 

The goal of Performance Neuro is to leverage the strategies I’ve used to improve my own life in order to help others find their own health freedom.

I've recovered my mental & physical wellbeing, overcome depression, and now maintain healthy bodyweight (after being overweight for years), all through neuro and nutritional practices that are practical and easy to follow as part of daily life. 

I consider myself exceptionally fortunate to have received the education that I have.  The Performance Neuro model is built on concepts borrowed from Functional Neurology, Biochemistry, Behavioral Optometry, Athletic Performance Training, and Functional Medicine.  

To be able to best help others get around the roadblocks that are holding them back, I have sought out the very best in their respective fields to improve my capacity to help others, and I will continue to draw on the wisdom of those smarter than myself to keep improving my abilities to do so.
